Who are we?
Ceres Butchers were established November 2005 when long term friends
John (Hutch) & John (Jake) decided they had enough of working for
others and went into partnership. You will find John in the Ceres Shop
and Jake in the Leuchars Shop.
John had worked in the Ceres shop for 25 years and Jake served his apprenticeship
in the same shop where we commenced trading. We then took over the shop
in Leuchars in April 2007.
Our mobile shop covers St Andrews and several local villages around
the north east of Fife.
Ceres butchers are passionate about our customers and our meat.
Our customers receive a fast friendly efficient service as well as the
highest quality LOCAL meat.(A laugh and a joke if required)
Our Beef and Lamb is bought at The Forfar Market weekly from local farmers.
All our beef is hung to mature for 21 days before we bone trim and roll
it to very high standards to our customers satisfaction.
Our pork is from Hatton Farm in Carnoustie.
We are renowned for our selection of pies and cooked meat which we produce
on the premises.
We also do freezer orders labelled and pack to your requirements.
Do you have your own livestock? We can butcher and pack your beef lamb
